Attorney General Prepares to Revoke Funding for Schools with DEI Policies

The measures would remove discriminatory guidelines that promote “underrepresented groups” and “safe spaces.”

Attorney General Pamela Bondi issued a memo directing agencies in President Donald Trump’s administration to restrict federal funding to universities, schools, and other entities that use diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices in their policies, explaining that these practices violate antidiscrimination laws.

“Entities receiving federal funds, like all other entities subject to federal antidiscrimination laws, must ensure that their programs and activities comply with federal law and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, or other protected characteristics — no matter the program’s labels, objectives, or intentions,” Attorney General Bondi wrote.

The memo went on to list examples of unlawful diversity programs, including hiring “underrepresented groups,” “safe spaces” within their facilities, and offering scholarship programs to students from “underserved geographic areas” or “first-generation students.” The memo also told agencies to watch out for programs that could be a “proxy” for DEI policies.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For prudence for officials in the president’s administration as they implement this directive issued by Attorney General Bondi.
  • For administrators of schools and organizations as they adapt to this update in federal policy.
  • For President Donald Trump to be led by the Lord as he focuses on issues that impact the American people.
