Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Installations and Logistics

Jeffrey Todd Jablon was born in 1964 and is a native of Frostburg, Maryland. He earned an undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech and received an M.B.A. from James Madison University.

Jablon began his U.S. Naval service as a division officer, after which he became a navigator and operations officer. He then served as an executive officer. He commanded the USS Philadelphia, and later became commodore of the Submarine Development Squadron Five.

Jablon served as assistant professor of naval science at the Reserve Officer Training Corps Unit, and later was special projects officer on the Staff of the Commander, Submarine Force U.S. Pacific Fleet. He became naval warfare submarine strategist at U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), then served as Commander, Submarine Development Squadron (COMSUBDEVRON). He went on to serve as a Naval Submarine School prospective commanding officer instructor, and later became the division director of Submarine/Nuclear Power Distribution (PERS-42).

Jablon became a flag officer, serving as U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) deputy director of plans and policies. He then commanded various submarine groups and forces. He has served as Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Installations and Logistics since January 2024.

Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Installations and Logistics Vice Admiral Jeff Jablon participated in the signing of an agreement to enhance logistics interoperability among U.S., Australian, and Japanese maritime forces. The arrangement is intended to increase the cooperation of the three nations as they seek to ensure the stability and security of the Indo-Pacific.

“Sustainment in depth is a primary objective,” said Vice Admiral Jablon. “We have robust logistics partnerships with Japan and Australia to ensure we can provide the right material and services at the right place, at the right time to mutually support our maritime forces, from day-to-day training during peacetime through contingencies.“

The vice admiral added, “This arrangement strengthens those commitments and allows us to more easily share information, technologies, and processes for greater logistics resiliency.”

The areas of cooperation in the agreement include reloading missile systems and flexible refueling.
