President Trump calls the situation in Gaza, “That’s real starvation. I see it. And you can’t fake that”
President Donald Trump told reporters Monday morning that “you can’t fake” the starvation being documented in Gaza. “We’re going to be getting some good, strong food. We can save a lot of people. Some of those kids — that’s real starvation. I see it. And you can’t fake that,” the president said, “So we’re going to be even more involved.”
Benjamin Netanyahu released his own statement saying, “There is no policy of starvation in Gaza, and there is no starvation in Gaza.” He added, “We enable humanitarian aid throughout the duration of the war to enter Gaza – otherwise, there would be no Gazans.”
When President Trump was asked Monday morning about Netanyahu’s statement, President Trump said, “I mean, based on television, I would say not particularly, because those children look very hungry,”
In addition to the humanitarian concerns, President Trump also spoke with the goal of resolving the conflict in Gaza, “I’m speaking to Netanyahu, and we’re coming up with various plans,” the president added, “We’re going to see. It’s a very difficult situation.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump as he continues communicating with Israel and Gaza during this historic time.
- That the civilians suffering from starvation in Gaza would be fed quickly by U.S. allies.
- That the work of the Trump administration promotes the Lord’s peace throughout the world.
