President Donald Trump designated a Presidential Delegation to attend the World Expo today in Osaka, Japan. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent is heading the delegation.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick spoke with Japanese Minister of State for Economic and Fiscal Policy Ryosei Akazawa on Thursday, to negotiate trade terms ahead of President Trump’s August 1 tariff deadline.
Tariffs of 25 percent are set to be imposed on goods from Japan and South Korea if deals are not agreed upon by the beginning of next month. President Trump stated earlier in July, “Please understand that the 25% number is far less than what is needed to eliminate the Trade Deficit disparity we have with your Country.” He encouraged them to manufacture products in the U.S. and warned against retaliatory tariffs.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Trump as he appoints delegations to represent the U.S.
- For the president and his trade team as they discuss new agreements and set tariffs.
- For God’s purposes and plans to be accomplished in the United States.
