Says in Truth Social announcement that Duffy will do “TREMENDOUS job”
President Donald Trump announced that Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy will be serving as the interim administrator of NASA. President Trump had originally appointed tech billionaire Jared Isaacman to head the space science agency, but rescinded his nomination in May, days before his first Congressional hearing was scheduled to be held.
President Trump wrote, “Sean is doing a TREMENDOUS job in handling our Country’s Transportation Affairs, including creating a state-of-the-art Air Traffic Control system, while at the same time rebuilding our roads and bridges, making them efficient, and beautiful, again. He will be a fantastic leader of the ever more important Space Agency, even if only for a short period of time. Congratulations, and thank you, Sean.”
Secretary Duffy responded to the announcement, stating, “Honored to accept this mission. Time to take over space. Let’s launch.”
