The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will be hosting a Hurricane Season Resiliency Roundtable first thing this week.

The agency’s Public Safety and Homeland Security Bureau will lead the event, which will focus on collaboration between communications service providers, electric utilities, and emergency management officials.

FCC Chair Brendan Carr stated, “As we head into this year’s hurricane season, the FCC is focused on the work necessary to keep networks running and to promote quick restoration in the case of outages. Promoting collaboration between communications, electric power, and emergency management officials is one of the key ways the FCC can help ensure these outcomes. That is why I am pleased to convene this timely roundtable.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for FCC officials as they discuss preparations for this year’s hurricane season.
  • For DHS Secretary Noem and Actin FEMA Administrator David Richardson as they assess the nation’s readiness.
  • For President Trump and members of his Cabinet as they prepare for the week.
