Representative Al Green of Texas filed articles of impeachment against President Trump for ordering airstrikes against Iran’s three nuclear sites. His action came just under two months since Representative Shri Thanedar filed impeachment articles for the president’s immigration and bureaucratic reduction policies.
Congressman Green alleged that President Trump engaged in an “abuse of presidential powers by disregarding the separation of powers—devolving American democracy into authoritarianism by unconstitutionally usurping Congress’s power to declare war.”
The House of Representatives vote the measure down by an overwhelming bipartisan majority on Tuesday.
