Iran Fires Ballistic Missiles at U.S. Military Installations in Qatar

Qatari air defenses intercepted the weapons before they reached the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base.

On Monday, Iran fired short- and medium-range ballistic missiles at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar. Qatari missile defense systems prevented the weapons from reaching their target, so no direct hits were made and no injuries reported. Iran also reportedly gave advanced notice of the attacks to minimize casualties.

Qatar closed its air space and the U.S. Embassy in Qatar advised Americans to shelter in place before the retaliation was launched.

Bahrain, which hosts a U.S. Naval base, closed its airspace temporarily on Monday as air raid sirens went off.

President Donald Trump was meeting with his national security team at the time the Iranian attack occurred.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for President Trump and his national security advisors and team.
  • For God’s protection over U.S. military personnel stationed in the Middle East and around the world.
