Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem was taken to a District of Columbia emergency room on Tuesday after experiencing an allergic reaction.
“She was transported to the hospital out of an abundance of caution,” DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated. “She is alert and recovering.”
The former South Dakota governor is head of the department overseeing federal immigration operations, as U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is under the umbrella of Homeland Security.
