It is also Flag Day and President Trump’s 79th birthday.
The United States Army was established, as the Continental Army, on June 14, 1775. President Donald Trump and his administration have arranged for an airshow, a military parade through Washington, D.C., a festival with fireworks, and a concert to commemorate the service’s 250th year.
The Secret Service has prepared for “an enormous turnout” with 18 miles of anti-scale fencing and multiple drones. U.S. Army officials have estimated that 200,000 people may attend the parade.
The parade is designated a National Special Security Event in which the Secret Service will lead high-level coordination of D.C. officials, the FBI, Capitol Police, and the local National Guard.
Flag Day and President Trump’s 79th birthday coincide with the U.S. Army’s 250th birthday.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Donald Trump on his birthday and his commemoration of the establishment of the U.S. Army.
- For discernment for Secret Service Director Sean Curran as he oversees security for the festival and military parade.
- That the celebration in D.C. would be peaceful and glorify the Lord for His blessings upon this nation.
