Iran called off the sixth round of nuclear talks scheduled for Sunday after Israel’s attack.
President Donald Trump urged Iran to continue negotiating a nuclear deal with the United States “before there is nothing left.” The president posted this statement after Israel took military action against Iran Thursday night, launching airstrikes and strategically taking out top scientists and military officials in Tehran.
“I gave Iran chance after chance to make a deal,” President Trump stated. “I told them, in the strongest of words, to just do it. But no matter how hard they tried, no matter how close they got, they just couldn’t get it done.”
The U.S. president added that the military actions against Iran’s nuclear program “would be much worse than anything they know, anticipated, or were told.”
“Certain Iranian hardliner’s spoke bravely, but they didn’t know what was about to happen. They are all DEAD now, and it will only get worse!” he emphasized.
