President Donald Trump is holding a National Security Council Meeting at the White House this morning. He will discuss intelligence with senior officials and advisors in the aftermath of Israel’s strikes against Iran on Thursday.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio responded to the strikes, saying, “Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region.”
Deputy Secretary of State Christopher Landau is wrapping up his travel to Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala today. The deputy secretary met with President Claudia Sheinbaum of Mexico on Thursday and discussed immigration and the status of undocumented Mexican workers in the U.S.
