Tuesday, June 10

President Donald Trump is hosting an event to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. The president will deliver remarks to soldiers and families at the event this afternoon.

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. is set to testify today before the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services (HHS), Education, and Related Agencies. He will address the Fiscal Year 2026 Budget Request for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) which seeks to reduce medical research funding.

Education Secretary Linda McMahon is scheduled to meet with Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts. The meeting was scheduled as an alternative to a public forum the senator had invited the secretary to participate in last month. Senator Warren sent Secretary McMahon a letter with 66 questions she would like answered about her department’s policies.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For safe travels for President Trump as he hosts the event to commemorate the establishment of the U.S. Army 250 years ago.
  • With gratitude for all the man and women who serve in the nation’s Armed Forces and for their protection as they are deployed in harm’s way.
  • For members of Congress as they conduct oversight of federal departments and for the secretaries as they provide testimony and information.
