Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, and U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer are meeting with Chinese trade representatives in London, England, today. President Donald Trump announced the meeting after his phone call with President Xi Jinping of China last week.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) Administrator Daniel Whitley is heading a delegation to Peru to expand market access and promote American exports.

President Trump’s travel ban, which he signed last week, goes into effect today. Citizens from Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen are prohibited from traveling to the U.S. The president stated, “We will not allow people to enter our country who wish to do us harm.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Secretaries Bessent and Lutnick and Trade Representative Greer to be discerning as they engage in negotiations with the Chinese trade delegation.
  • For Administrator Whitley and the officials and executives of the USDA delegation as they work to expand the market for U.S. agricultural exports.
  • For President Trump to receive God’s guidance as he seeks to reduce threats to America’s national security.
