FBI deputy director addresses constitutionally protected freedom of speech to criticize the Chinese government and its leaders.
The Department of Justice (DOJ) announced that federal grand juries in Milwaukee and Los Angeles charged two foreign nationals with multiple charges related to violently harassing an individual protesting Chinese President Xi Jinping.
According to court documents, the two suspects attempted to dissuade this individual from posting online pictures and videos of homemade statues protesting President Xi and President Xi’s wife. To intimidate this individual, the two suspects slashed the person’s car tires, installed a tracking device on the victim’s car, and paid others $36,000 to communicate with the individual directly.
“The defendants allegedly plotted to harass and interfere with an individual who criticized the actions of the People’s Republic of China while exercising their constitutionally protected free speech rights within the United States of America,” said FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino.
He continued, “The same individuals also are charged with trying to obtain and export sensitive U.S. military technology to China. I want to commend the good work of the FBI and our partners in the U.S. and overseas in putting a stop to these illegal activities.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For Director Patel and Deputy Director Bongino to be led by the Lord as they head FBI investigations.
- For Attorney General Bondi to seek God’s guidance as she manages the Justice Department.
