Look at the birds of the air… your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? – Matthew 6:26
Have you ever been stuck in the no-man’s land between fear and faith? You may have wondered, if God cares so much why did your spouse lose their job? Or if God is good, how did your daughter end up with health problems? It is common to question God’s love when life gets tough and you cannot see a path forward.
Stepping out of a spiritual wilderness starts with rediscovering what God’s love truly looks like. Though the world will try to convince you it means sufficient money in the bank or a clean bill of health, the Bible describes it differently. God’s care is evidenced by His presence and is demonstrated through the love of Jesus Christ bringing hope to your heart through the Holy Spirit.
Outside of knowing God, you cannot make sense of the turmoil in the world or in your life. But like all of creation, when you place your trust first in the redeeming power of God’s great love, “He will cover you and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield” (Psalm 91:4).
Fix the gaze of your belief upon the face of the Faithful Father instead of focusing on difficult circumstances. You will see He not only cares for you, He is right beside you making a way where you do not see one. Pray for believers across the United States, especially those serving in public office, to join you in walking into a deeper, more trusting faith.
Today’s Verse: Matthew 6:26
Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Your faithfulness endures to all generations;
you have established the earth, and it stands fast.
91 By your appointment they stand this day,
for all things are your servants.
92 If your law had not been my delight,
I would have perished in my affliction.
93 I will never forget your precepts,
for by them you have given me life.
94 I am yours; save me,
for I have sought your precepts.
