He said that military action against Iran would disrupt
President Donald Trump said on Wednesday that it would be “inappropriate” for Israel to launch a military strike against Iran while the United States is engaged in nuclear negotiations with Tehran.
During a press briefing at the White House, President Trump was asked if he had warned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against taking any actions that could threaten a nuclear agreement between the U.S. and Iran.
“Well, I’d like to be honest. Yes, I did. Next question, please?” President Trump said.
The president added that he didn’t view his conversation with Netanyahu as a “warning,” but he’d told the Israeli leader that a strike would not be “appropriate” when the U.S. was making progress.
“I told him this would be inappropriate to do right now because we’re very close to a solution,” the president said.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For wisdom for President Trump as he seeks a new nuclear agreement with Iran.
- For the president and members of his administration to be discerning as they discuss situations in the Middle East with Israeli leaders.
