DHS Involved in Arrest of Illegal Alien who Killed Air Force Academy Cadet in Texas

The Texas attorney general calls it a “senseless death… by an illegal alien who should have never been in our country.”

The U.S. Air Force Academy confirmed the death of an 18-year-old cadet candidate over Memorial Day weekend who had recently graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School and had just accepted an appointment to the Class of 2029. Ava Moore was kayaking on Grapevine Lake when she was struck and killed by an illegal alien on a jet ski. The suspect, from Venezuela, then fled in a truck driven by a second migrant, who is also Venezuelan, who hit another vehicle as he drove away.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced arrests of the two illegal aliens after his office’s Fugitive Apprehension Unit partnered with Texas Parks and Wildlife, Grapevine Police Department, Dallas Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

“Ava Moore’s senseless death was caused by an illegal alien who should have never been in our country in the first place. My heart breaks for Ava’s family and friends, and my prayers are with them as they face this tragedy,” said Attorney General Paxton. “My office will continue to work with local, state, and national law enforcement partners to secure justice for Ava.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For DHS Secretary Noem and agents as they seek to deport unlawful migrants to their countries of origin.
  • For federal, state, and local law enforcement officers as they investigate and arrest criminal illegal aliens.
  • For God’s comfort for the cadet’s family and friends as they grieve her loss.
