President Trump’s Administration Directs Federal Agencies to Cancel Contracts with Harvard

Each agency requested to review contracts and consider alternatives.

President Trump’s administration requested that government agencies cancel federal contracts with Harvard University, which maintains around 30 scientific research contracts totaling $100 million with the Ivy League college.

The letter sent by the U.S. General Services Administration alleges that Harvard “continues to engage in race discrimination, including in its admissions process and in other areas of student life,” furthering the administration’s action against Harvard for refusing to comply with the government’s policies.

“In light of this deeply troubling pattern, each agency should consider its contracts with Harvard University and determine whether Harvard and its services efficiently promote the priorities of the agency,” the letter stated. “Going forward, we also encourage your agency to seek alternative vendors for future services where you had previously considered Harvard.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump and members of his administration to be discerning in their efforts to uphold civil rights and educational integrity.
  • For wisdom for secretaries and heads of government departments and agencies as they review the scientific research contracts.
