CBP Seizes Over $7 Million of Fake Apple Devices in Texas

Agents confiscated over 373,000 counterfeit USB lightning phone chargers.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) announced on Tuesday that Customs and Border Protection’s Houston Seaport Trade Enforcement Team confiscated thousands of fake Apple USB chargers valued at over $7 million. There were around 7,460 cartons displaying Apple’s logo attempting to cross into the United States through Houston, Texas. Upon inspection, CBP officials confirmed that all 373,000 lightning phone chargers were counterfeit.

“Criminal networks are using e-commerce to ship their items to unsuspecting consumers and exploit the high volume of cargo processed by CBP,” stated Acting Area Port Director John Landry for CBP port of Houston and Galveston.

“Consumers deserve the real deal when spending their hard-earned money on these products,” Acting Director Landry said.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Acting Port Director Landry to be led by the Lord as he oversees operations in his area.
  • For Acting Commissioner Pete Flores to receive God’s direction as he heads U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
