Two Israeli Embassy Staffers Assassinated in Washington, D.C.

The shooter chanted, “Free Palestine” after being taken into custody.

Two Israeli Embassy staff members were shot and killed on Wednesday night near the Jewish Museum in the District of Columbia. The American Jewish Committee was hosting an event at the museum that evening. The assassin, who is from Chicago, was arrested. He chanted, “Free Palestine” after firing on the couple, who were about to become engaged.

FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino stated that the suspect was being interviewed by the Metropolitan Police Department and the Joint Terrorism Task Force.

President Trump responded to the event, stating, “These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on anti-Semitism, must end NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things can happen!”

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu stated, “We are witness to the terrible cost of the antisemitism and wild incitement against the State of Israel.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For President Trump, members of Congress, and D.C. Mayor Bower as they seek to improve safety in the nation’s capital.
  • For God’s comfort for the families of the victims as they grieve their loss.
  • For the Lord to draw the hearts of Americans to Him to remove hatred and division.
