President Donald Trump is meeting with South African President Cyril Ramaphosa today at the White House. President Trump signed an executive order granting Afrikaners refugee status in February due to increased threats of violence after their nation enacted the land expropriation law, which allows land confiscation without compensation. The U.S. accepted 59 South African refugees this week.

Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem is giving the commencement address at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in New London, Connecticut. She stated, “We will be welcoming these new officers at a critical moment in the history of the branch and our country.”
The House Rules Committee, chaired by Representative Virginia Foxx of North Carolina, is holding a business meeting on the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” The House Judiciary Committee, chaired by Representative Jim Jordan of Ohio, is marking up legislation, including the proposed repeal of the FACE Act, which was used against peaceful pro-life protestors by the previous administration.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump to receive God’s wisdom as he discusses humanitarian concerns over South African law.
- For discernment for Secretary Noem as she heads the Department of Homeland Security and encourages new Coast Guard officers.
- For senators and representatives in Congress as they work through the budget reconciliation and legislation markup processes.
