He said the U.S. will “no longer tolerate profiteering and price gouging from big pharma.”
President Donald Trump signed an Executive Order on Monday to lower prescription drug costs in the United States.
“Starting today, the United States will no longer subsidize the healthcare of other countries,” the president said. “We’ve been subsidizing drug prices for the rest of the world, not just the European Union.”
Under the order, labeled the “Most Favored Nation,“ the president stated the U.S. will “no longer tolerate profiteering and price gouging from big pharma“ and will “pay the lowest price there is in the world. We’re no longer paying ten times more than another country.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt stated, “This EO will help bypass costly middlemen and bring the prices Americans pay for prescription drugs in line with those paid by other nations.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For President Trump and members of his administration as they seek to reduce the inflated price of prescription for Americans.
- For Secretary Kennedy to be discerning as he oversees the Department of Health and Human Services and all its agencies.
