Today, President Donald Trump is meeting with Prime Minister Mark Carney of Canada at the White House to discuss trade and the tariffs. President Trump spoke with the prime minister after the Canadian election win last week, and called it a “very productive” conversation.

President Trump has repeatedly expressed the desire to make Canada the 51st state of the U.S. Despite media reports of the president intending to annex the northern neighbor, President Trump stated in an interview that using military force to take the country was “highly unlikely.”
Secretary of State Marco Rubio is meeting with leaders from Caribbean nations in Washington, D.C. They will discuss the administration’s trade policies as well as the president’s stance on Cuba’s medical mission program. The State Department explained that the labor export program “involves forced labor and exploitation of workers around the globe, enriches the Cuban regime, and treats Cuban doctors as commodities.”
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- For discernment for President Trump as he discusses trade and tariffs with Prime Minister Carney.
- For Secretary Rubio to receive God’s guidance as he meets with Caribbean leaders.
- For U.S. diplomats around the globe to be prudent as they represent the U.S.
