Senate Majority Leader Excludes Senator-Elect from Orientation

While Arizona’s race was undetermined, the Pennsylvania candidate had been declared the winner.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer opted not to invite Senators-elect from Pennsylvania or Arizona to the freshman Senator orientation on Wednesday. He explained that both races were not yet determined, despite Dave McCormick’s decisive lead and DecisionDeskHQ calling the race in his favor.

Senator Schumer’s office stated on Sunday, “With over 100,000 ballots left to be counted in Pennsylvania, the race has not been decided. As is custom, we will invite the winner once the votes are counted.”

Senators Mike Lee of Utah, Katie Britt of Alabama, and Eric Schmitt of Missouri have offered to escort Senator-elect McCormick to the orientation.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Senate Majority Leader Schumer to oversee the business of the upper chamber with integrity until the party change.
  • For wisdom for members of the incoming majority as they prepare to choose a new Senate Majority Leader.
