Today, the White House Celebration of Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage and History is being held in Washington, D.C.

The Department of Health and Human Services stated, “This landmark event in the heart of our nation’s capital will commemorate 25 years since the creation of the White House Initiative and the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders. For the first time, current and former leaders spanning five presidential administrations will gather to honor this historic milestone and reflect on the progress AA and NHPI communities have achieved over the past 25 years.“

The House Veterans Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on Health, chaired by Representative Mariannette Miller-Meeks, is holding a field hearing at the University of Iowa University Capitol Center.

The House Natural Resources Committee’s Subcommittee on Federal Lands, chaired by Representative Tom Tiffany, is holding a field hearing in Hayward, Wisconsin, entitled “Improving Access and Opportunities for Hunting, Fishing, and Outdoor Recreation on America’s Federal Lands.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For administration officials as they participate in the commemoration of 25 years of the White House Initiative on Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.
  • For wisdom for the chairs and members of the House subcommittees as they hold field hearings today.
  • That the president and his advisors would seek the Lord’s direction as they set their goals and priorities.
