President Biden Meets with Jordan’s King Abdullah

The two leaders discuss the war between Israel and Hamas at the White House.

President Joe Biden welcomed Jordanian King Abdullah II to the White House on Monday. The two heads of state discussed the ongoing conflict in Gaza and its impact on the Middle East. King Abdullah met with Secretary of State Blinken in Amman last week regarding the proposed cease-fire between Israel and Hamas.

Jordan, which shares a border with Israel, has allied itself with the United States. That nation has concerns about being caught in a broadening conflict. President Biden assured King Abdullah that the U.S. will do all it can to protect the Jordanian people.

The White House stated that the Iranian attack against Israel last month “also threatened Jordan and the Jordanian people.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for President Biden and members of his administration as they discuss the conflict between Israel and Hamas with Middle Eastern leaders.
  • For the peace of Jerusalem and discernment for U.S. and Israeli officials.
  • For the people of Israel and Gaza as they endure the conflict.
