Assistant Secretary for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink is on diplomatic missions to Southeast Asia. He has visited Singapore, Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam over the past ten days.

In Singapore, he co-led the U.S.-Singapore Strategic Partnership Dialogue. In Bangkok, he co-led the 9th U.S.-Thailand Strategic Dialogue and the Second Strategic and Defense Dialogue. In Hanoi, he participated in the Asia-Pacific Dialogue.

Today, Assistant Secretary Kritenbrink is in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei, where he will commemorate the 40th anniversary of U.S.-Brunei relations. The State Department announced, “He will meet with senior Bruneian officials to discuss key issues in the bilateral relationship, including economic and security initiatives, efforts to tackle climate change, and regional cooperation.“
