President’s Administration Hosts Youth Policy Summit

Interagency summit fosters dialogue to shape policies benefiting America’s youth.

The Department of Education hosted the inaugural interagency Youth Policy Summit with nearly 90 young people in attendance The summit facilitated direct dialogue between federal policymakers and young voices, focusing on policies and programs to provide youth with opportunities to flourish.

Education Secretary Miguel Cardona said, “Our young people are always our most important stakeholders in education. Today’s youth policy summit is an important reminder that youth are also leaders of both today and tomorrow— and key partners in the policy discussions that effect their lives. That’s why the Biden-Harris Administration is working to ‘Raise the Bar’ for student outcomes and young people’s well-being by centering youth voices.”

Various agencies, including the U.S. Department of Labor and the Department of Health and Human Services, are launching initiatives to support youth employment and mental health services.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his policy advisors as they seek to increase initiatives for youth.
  • For members of the president’s Cabinet as they promote services and policies for American youth.
