President’s Task Force Meets to Address Human Trafficking

The task force is chaired by the secretary of state.

The President’s Interagency Task Force to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons, chaired by Secretary of State Antony Blinken, met at the White House to reaffirm its commitment to combat human trafficking.

Secretary Blinken presided over the meeting alongside other senior White House officials and principals from 20 participating federal agencies, including Attorney General Merrick Garland; Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland; Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsack; Acting Secretary of Labor Julie Su; Secretary of Health and Human Services, Xavier Becerra Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas; Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines, United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai; and Director of the Office of Management and Budget Shalanda Young.
