First Lady Promotes Women’s Health Research in Atlanta

She highlights the White House Initiative on research for women’s health launched last fall.

First Lady Jill Biden promoted the White House Initiative on Women’s Health Research on Wednesday in Atlanta, Georgia. The first lady spoke at Morehouse School of Medicine’s “2024 Women’s Heart Healthy Luncheon” at the Georgia Aquarium.

“Even though women are half the population, research on women’s health has always been underfunded. Too many studies have left women out,“ the first lady said. “We have a clear goal: to fundamentally change how we approach and fund women’s health research.“

She continued, “But the federal government can’t do it alone. We need research at universities to develop breakthroughs. Investors who believe in those ideas. Startups that bring those ideas to the market. Doctors who translate those ideas into treatment plans. And government and advocates who help bring everyone together.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
