Tuesday, January 9

Today, the House Committee on Rules, chaired by Representative Tom Cole of Oklahoma, is meeting at the Capitol to consider several measures.

The committee will discuss resolutions providing congressional disapproval of two administration rules: under Chapter 8 of Title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the National Labor Relations Board relating to “Standard for Determining Joint Employer Status,” and under Chapter 8 of Title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Federal Highway Administration relating to “Waiver of Buy America Requirements for Electric Vehicle Chargers.”

The committee will also consider the Stop Settlement Slush Funds Act of 2023.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the administrators of executive branch departments to follow existing federal laws and regulations as they propose updated rules.
  • For discernment for Chairman Cole and members of the House Rules Committee.
  • For the Lord’s purposes to be fulfilled in the U.S. government and throughout the nation.
