Today, Acting Assistant Secretary for Oceans and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs Jennifer Littlejohn is in the United Arab Emirates. The UN Climate Conference, COP28, is in its final days of meetings in Dubai.

This week Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Bonnie Jenkins also participated in meetings in Dubai.

Assistance Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O’Brien met with Azerbaijan officials to promote peace between that nation and Armenia. He then participated in a summit in Romania regarding grain exports.

Assistant Secretary of State for International Organization Affairs Michele Sison was in Ghana for the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial along with U.S. Representative to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield.

Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Population, Refugees, and Migration Julieta Valls Noyes met with senior government officials and non-governmental and international organization partners regarding the relocation and resettlement of Afghanistan refugees.
