The Senate Foreign Relations Committee, chaired by Senator Ben Cardin of Maryland, is holding hearings to examine the nomination of Kurt Campbell, of the District of Columbia, to be Deputy Secretary of State.

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, chaired by Senator Maria Cantwell of Washington, will consider the nomination of J. Todd Inman, of Kentucky, to be a Member of the National Transportation Safety Board and various U.S. Coast Guard promotions.

The Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Senator Dick Durbin of Illinois, will consider the nominations of Sara E. Hill, and John David Russell, both to be a United States District Judge for the Northern District of Oklahoma, and Ramona Villagomez Manglona, to be Judge for the District Court for the Northern Mariana Islands.

  • For wisdom for the president’s appointees as they go through the confirmation hearing process.
  • For the president and his advisors to be led by the Lord as they consider individuals to nominate for government posts.
