Senate Majority Leader Plans Ukraine Funding Proposal

He writes a letter urging bipartisan support for national security.

Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer announced this past weekend that he will be bringing legislation proposing additional funding for Ukraine to the Senate floor soon. Writing to his colleagues in a letter, he urged the Senate to bring bipartisan support to pass the legislation, saying that the security challenges facing Ukraine are interconnected to the security issues facing the world.

“One of the most important tasks we must finish is taking up and passing a funding bill to ensure we as well as our friends and partners in Ukraine, Israel, and the Indo-Pacific region have the necessary military capabilities to confront and deter our adversaries and competitors,” Senator Schumer wrote in his letter. “These national security priorities are interrelated and demand bipartisan Congressional action.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for members of the Senate as they prepare to consider Senate Majority Leader Schumer’s funding proposal.
  • For senators and representatives as they deliberate over the funding and appropriation bills.
  • For the Lord to accomplish His will in the United States.
