U.S. Drone Shot Down by Houthis

Pentagon seeks to contain Middle Eastern conflict.

The Pentagon confirmed the report that Houthi rebels in Yemen, a terror group backed by Iran, shot down an American Reaper drone near Yemen on Wednesday. A spokesperson offered video of the shootdown.

The Houthis declared war against Israel last week. Two weeks ago, several missiles and drones fired by Houthis aimed at Israel were shot down by the U.S. Navy. Last week, Israel shot down a Houthi ballistic missile in space that was headed for Israel.

The U.S. carried out retaliatory strikes against a warehouse facility in eastern Syria. It was allegedly used as an ammunition storage warehouse by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and their proxies.

Deputy Pentagon Press Secretary Sabrina Singh said, “While we are seeing an uptick in attacks, our purpose is to ensure that this conflict doesn’t widen out beyond Israel.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for Secretary Austin as he oversees the U.S. Armed Forces.
  • For General Kurilla to be led by the Lord as he commands the U.S. Central Command.
  • For the safety of U.S. troops deployed in the Middle East as attacks against American bases and equipment increase.
