FBI Director Warns of Terror Threats to U.S.

He urges the public and law enforcement to be vigilant.

Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray issued a warning Sunday about the increase of violent extremism, both in the U.S. and internationally.  During an address to the Association of Chiefs of Police in San Diego, the director said, “History has been witness to antisemitic and other forms of violent extremism for far too long,“ and asserted, “We remain committed to continue confronting those threats—both here in the United States and overseas.”

He urged the public to be aware, cautioning against “lone actors,” telling the police chiefs, “So I encourage you to stay vigilant, because as the first line of defense in protecting our communities, you’re often the first to see the signs that someone may be mobilizing to violence. And I’d also ask you to continue sharing any intelligence or observations you may have. And on our end, we’re committed to doing the same, so that together, we can safeguard our communities.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Director Wray as he provides warnings regarding terrorism threats.
  • For FBI agents as they investigate and pursue intelligence regarding terrorists at home and abroad.
  • For wisdom for the president and administration officials as they determine who the most dangerous individuals are to public safety and homeland security.
