Supreme Court Will Review Censorship and Social Media Cases

The court’s next session begins Monday.

The Supreme Court announced that the justices will hear two major cases where tech industry groups are challenging restrictive state laws.

One case involves laws in Texas that limit what content can be banned by social media platforms like X (formerly Twitter), YouTube, and Facebook. The second is a similar anti-censorship law in Florida.

The technology parties have contended that those laws could make social media platforms more dangerous by not allowing them to remove hate speech or extremism.

Justice Samuel Alito has said the issues involved are of “great importance.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For wisdom for the Supreme Court justices as they consider the state laws in question.
  • For judges in federal courts as they hear cases regarding freedom of speech and religious liberties.
  • For God’s will to be accomplished in the ruling and outcome of the anti-censorship cases.
