FTC Names New Competition Bureau Director

Henry Liu brings strong antitrust experience to the agency.

This week the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) announced Henry Liu as the new director of the Bureau of Competition. Director Liu will manage large lawsuits that review company mergers, including cases such as acquisitions made by social media company Meta, which merged Facebook and Instagram some years ago, and grocery giant Kroger, which announced its purchase of Albertsons last year.

“I’m excited to have Henry at the helm of the Bureau of Competition,” FTC Chair Lina Khan stated. “His experience and expertise will equip the Commission to continue tackling unfair methods of competition and protecting the American public from unlawful business practices.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for Director Liu as he heads the Bureau of Competition.
  • For Chair Lina Khan to seek God’s direction as she oversees the Federal Trade Commission.
