Today, the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs, and the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance are holding a joint field hearing in Sierra Vista, Arizona, on the impacts of the president’s immigration policies.

Representatives Glenn Grothman of Wisconsin and Andy Biggs of Arizona, the respective chairs of the subcommittees, stated, “We have seen firsthand on past committee trips to the border how illegal border crossing surges… have wreaked havoc on local communities and negatively affected the lives of residents and law enforcement.“

The chairmen said the hearing will provide the opportunity to see the impacts of current border policies and “explore ways that Congress can assist.” Testimony will be heard from an expert in immigration law and policy, a rancher, and the Cochise County sheriff.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Chairman Grothman as he heads the House Subcommittee on National Security, the Border, and Foreign Affairs.
  • For Chairman Biggs as he leads the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Crime and Federal Government Surveillance.
  • For discernment for the president and members of Congress as they address illegal immigration.
