Provision of the Gift Giver

If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will you Father in heaven give good things to those who ask him!      Matthew 7:11

The greatest gift God has given humanity is His Son (John 3:16). Having redeemed your soul, God has also given you a purpose. With that purpose, He has also equipped you with whatever it is you need to accomplish it! The next great gift is the indwelling Holy Spirit, and it is He who imparts more gifts upon you. Oh, the generosity of the Lord!

The Bible reveals these gifts to include faith, healing, prophecy, proclamation, teaching, administration, reconciliation, compassion, and self-sacrificing service, and their purpose is to help and encourage other believers. In addition to the spiritual gifts that are often employed within the settings of the body of Christ, the Church, you have been given His Word, forgiveness, peace, grace, eternal life, love, hospitality, wisdom, confidence, hope, power, discernment, the universe to enjoy, a forever family, and prayer. You can surely name more. Both the love you receive from the Savior and the love you have for Him draw you to be good and faithful stewards of these gifts.

Within the purposes of God, He has also equipped many members of government who are followers of Christ. They experience the onslaught of the enemy as they stand for truth, justice, and righteousness as outlined in God’s Word. Pray that they receive the power and love from the Lord they need today, and that they, and you, would daily grow closer to Him.

7 The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. 8 Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 9 Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 11 whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
