Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Jakarta, Indonesia, today. He is participating in the U.S.-ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, the East Asia Summit Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, and ASEAN Regional Forum.

State Department Press Secretary Matthew Miller said, “At each meeting, the Secretary will emphasize the United States’ commitment to ASEAN centrality and support for the ASEAN-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership. He will address economic cooperation, the global fight against climate change, the ongoing crisis in Burma, the situation in the South China Sea, and Russia’s war against Ukraine.“

He added, “The Secretary will also participate in the second U.S.-Indonesia Strategic Dialogue alongside his counterpart, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi.“
