He will transform our lowly body to be like His glorious body. – Philippians 3:21
Today’s verse indicates the transformation that the Lord will make in the bodies of believers upon His return. By His power, He is able to bring all things in subjection to Himself. Even though everything He created He deemed to be “good,” God did not create everything to match His perfection. There are a variety of maladies in this earthly life, allergies, sickness, disease, and even death. This passage speaks to the heavenly citizenship of those who follow Christ. While you, as a Christian, wait for Jesus’ second coming, you can live in the hope of His resurrection and a future in heaven free from the ailments of this earth. You can glorify Him in this life, encouraging them to follow Jesus, who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Pray that public servants who do not know the Lord, from local governments to Washington, D.C,. would seek a relationship with Jesus. Pray for and comfort those who are sick, and encourage them to believe in Him so that they may one day receive a new body!

- For those in public office who follow Christ to be strengthened in their witness and glorify the Lord.
- For everyone in the government who doesn’t know Jesus that they would hear and accept the Good News and be saved.
