These events plan to assist current and former nuclear weapons workers, including uranium miners, millers, and ore transporters from covered facilities, and their families.

The events will take place from June 27 to 29, 2023, in the Four Corners region with the primary focus being to provide support and information to members of the Navajo Nation who are eligible for federal benefits under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act.

“We also encourage all former nuclear weapons workers and their families in the Four Corners Region to attend one of these events to learn more about eligibility for benefits,” said Division of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Director Rachel Pond. “Staff will be available to assist attendees file their claims or obtain information about existing claims.”
