Saturday, June 10

President Joe Biden issued a proclamation declaring June National Immigrant Heritage Month.

The president stated, “America is more than a place; it is an idea.  It is the idea that everyone is created equal and deserves to be treated equally throughout their lives and that everyone should have a fair shot and an equal chance to get ahead.  That is what has drawn people to our shores for centuries.  It is what makes us who we are.“

He continued, “Immigration has always been essential to America, and this month, we reflect on the strength and spirit of immigrants that have been passed down through families and infused in our Nation.“

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his advisors as they set immigration policy.
  • For the officers and agents who process immigration and asylum applications for migrants.
  • For the acting directors of both Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
