Today, Secretary of State Antony Blinken is in Saudi Arabia, where he will participate in a U.S.-Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial.

State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said Secretary Blinken will “discuss the growing cooperation with our GCC partners to promote security, stability, de-escalation, regional integration, and economic opportunities across the Middle East.“

On Tuesday, Secretary Blinken met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He is scheduled to co-host a meeting of the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS with Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan in Riyadh tomorrow.

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For discernment for the secretary of state as he participates in the meeting of the U.S.–Gulf Cooperation Council.
  • For Secretary Blinken to seek God’s wisdom as he discusses concerns in the Middle East.
  • For the president and his administration as they review and set foreign policy.
