Today, the Senate will hold an executive session to consider the confirmation of David Crane as Under Secretary of Energy. Other nominations they may vote on are Dale E. Ho for U.S. District Judge for Southern New York and Dilwar Syed as Deputy Administrator of the Small Business Administration.
The House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure’s Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines, and Hazardous Materials is holding a hearing titled “Amtrak Operations: Examining the Challenges and Opportunities for Improving Efficiency and Service.“ Chaired by Congressman Sam Graves, the subcommittee with hear testimony from Stephen Gardner, Chief Executive Officer of Amtrak, and Mitch Warren, Executive Director of Northeast Corridor Commission.
