First Lady Jill Biden attended the wedding of Jordan’s Crown Prince Al Hussein on Thursday. The event was the start of a broader trip to the Middle East and Northern Africa, her first time in the region as the first lady. She is spending six days traveling through Jordan, Egypt, Morocco, and Portugal to touch base with government officials in the area.
“Government to government, people to people, and heart to heart, we will continue to strengthen our relationships in the region and reaffirm our commitment to the future of young people around the world,” the first lady stated.
