DOT Announces Funding for Acceleration of Regional Infrastructure

The department will approve projects for competitive grants.

The Department of Transportation added $24 million in grants to its Regional Infrastructure Accelerators Program, bringing the total amount of funding available to bring technical assistance to local infrastructure projects to $34 million. The Build America Bureau will provide this funding to designated “Accelerators”, department-approved groups and individuals that partner with local communities to help them plan, develop, and execute the infrastructure projects they have proposed.

“The Department is pleased to offer more grant funding for communities across the nation to move their transportation projects forward, connecting people to opportunities,” said Deputy Secretary Polly Trottenberg. “These funds help regions better compete for discretionary grants through implementation of innovative solutions and potentially seek financing to accelerate delivery of those solutions.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For Deputy Secretary Trottenberg as she fulfills her role in the Transportation Department.
  • For U.S. transportation officials as they review and determine the recipients of the infrastructure funding.
