First Lady and Justice Sotomayor Visit Bronx Children’s Museum

Celebrating the opening ceremonies of the facility.

First Lady Jill Biden and Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor attended the opening celebration for the Bronx Children’s Museum on Wednesday, which opened its new location near Yankee Stadium in New York City last December. Justice Sotomayor was born in the Bronx and joined in celebrating not only the museum’s new location but also new multicultural programming tailored specifically to children currently living in the Bronx.

Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson said, “Programs that are offered here at the Bronx Children’s Museum are going to make a difference. They’re transformative, they’re a game-changer, and they’re investing in our children, and when we’re investing our children, we are simply investing in the future.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the first lady as she supports educational causes for children.
  • For Supreme Court Justice Sotomayor as she promotes the museum in her native Bronx.
  • For U.S. officials at each level of government as they consider children’s education and development.
